I think I’ve found out why I still write using a notebook.
I don’t feel the endless desire to tweak a notebook, like I do an editor on a computer.
I can’t change fonts (alright, I can when I change my handwriting, which I’ve been doing just for fun).
I can’t change the size of the window, I’m limited to the notebook I’ve brought with me, the pencils or pens I’m writing with and the ideas in my head.
When I’m on a computer I get a strong urge to personalize my experience, just a little more tweaks, just a bit more spacing between these sentences. I don’t do this in a notebook. I write down ideas, quotes and notes, they are immutable; I limit my time with an eraser.
I’m not effecting my environment, I cannot remove anything, I’m just contributing to it.
